In a tweet by the official Stranger Things twitter, we’re treated to a brand new poster for season 2 of Stranger Things. The poster clearly pays homage to Nightmare on Elm Street in a big way. It’s no secret that Stranger Things tugs on nostalgic heartstrings’s pulling inspiration from Poltergeist, The Goonies, and basically anything with kids and scary stuff in the 80’s. The creators, The Duffer Brothers have stated their influences run deep with Spielberg/King, and come right out and say that this show is a love letters to all things 80s-horror.
The trailer for season 2 dropped a few weeks ago, and it could potentially have outdone all of season 1 with homages oozing out of every frame. Stranger Things season 2 hits October 27th, just in time for Halloween 2017.
